About Ray
Last updated
I'm Ray. I write software for a living in Richmond, Virginia. This site is where I write up what the research says about stress, sleep, energy and burnout for men with demanding jobs.
What I am, and what I'm not
I'm a software developer. I'm not a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, dietitian or any other kind of clinician, and nothing on this site is medical advice. What I bring is the habit of checking things: reading the actual study instead of the press release, looking up the dose that was tested, and noticing who paid for the research.
Why this site exists
Most of what ranks for "cortisol supplement" is coupon pages, sponsored posts and reviews that repeat the manufacturer's claims. I wanted one place that puts the habits first, shows its sources, and is honest about what a supplement can and can't be expected to do.
How the site makes money
This is an affiliate publication. I'm an affiliate of SellHealth (Leading Edge Health), the company behind CortiSync, and I earn a commission if you buy through links on review pages. That relationship is disclosed at the top of every page that has an affiliate link. The full details are on the affiliate disclosure page, and the rules I hold myself to are in the editorial policy.
